Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Registered Nurse who can work independently in a busy clinical setting. You will apply the nursing process from assessment through evaluation, coordinate care, and support patients and families with compassionate, evidence-based practice in accordance with established protocols.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, at least 1 year of nursing experience, current BLS, ACLS and (for pediatric cases) PALS.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 1 year of related nursing experience preferred
• ACLS and PALS certifications required (PALS for CHILDRENS only)

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
