Job summary

MercyOne Genesis seeks an Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative patient care in the intraoperative phase, serving neonates to geriatrics. You will scrub and circulate cases, prepare efficiently, and ensure patient and staff safety through aseptic technique.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in nursing and an Iowa or Illinois RN license at hire, with mandatory BLS and training completion.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Must have current RN license in Iowa or Illinois at hire and possibly in both states.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative patient care in intraoperative phase as scrub and circulating nurse.
• Prepare for surgical cases, anticipate needs of patient, surgeon, and team.
• Maintain aseptic technique and safe environment.
• Document surgical data and maintain equipment knowledge.
• Participate in orientation, training, and performance improvement activities.
