Job summary

Qualifications

• Current or compact Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Iowa.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently, with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases efficiently, anticipating needs of patient and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and a safe environment for patient and staff.
• Collects and analyzes data to support nursing diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patients, staff, physicians and families.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment setup and function; aids in room turnover.
