Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital in Gilbert is seeking an experienced RN for Pre-Op, PACU and Radiology support. This role requires flexibility to care for surgical and radiology patients, cross-training across multiple clinical areas, and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care coordination, and teaching, with participation in call rotations and weekend coverage. The ideal candidate is an experienced RN committed to pediatric perioperative care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN responsibilities across pre-operative, PACU and Radiology settings.
• Must be able to cross-train across multiple clinical areas.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability required.
• Experience with perioperative or radiology services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessment and initial plan per policy and unit guidelines.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to care team and families.
• Ensure medication handling, documentation and compliance with standards.
• Provide orientation and mentorship to students and new staff.
• Collaborate with care team and families to implement the care plan.
• Participate in call rotation and weekend coverage as needed.
• Support cross-training and knowledge sharing across departments.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
