Qualifications

• Pre-operative and PACU care for surgical patients.
• Pre-operative and PACU care for Radiology patients.
• Support of Interoperative Radiology procedures.
• Cross-coverage between perioperative and radiology services.
• Participation in call rotation.
• Weekend coverage requirements.
• Willingness to cross-train and work across multiple patient care settings.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient conditions consistent with age and condition, including physical, psychological, social, developmental, and educational factors.
• Continually evaluates patient responses to care, teaching, and discharge plans, and documents progress for the care team.
• Contributes to team effort by ensuring compliance with medication, storage and documentation standards.
• Provides orientation to the unit, hospital systems and processes to patients and families.
• Supervises patient care activities and delegates tasks appropriate to knowledge and competency.
• Works with the care team to implement the plan of care and coordinate activities.
• Models best practices and mentors students and new employees to support learning.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
