Job summary

Phoenix Children's in Phoenix is hiring a PRN PreOp/PACU RN to care for patients before and after surgery. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of PreOp/PACU experience; pediatric experience is a plus. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 3 PM, with no holidays or weekends and no new grads.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based nursing care, document in the medical record, and support the family throughout the surgical continuum.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in PreOp/PACU
• Pediatric experience is a plus
• No new grads accepted
• M-F schedule with hours 6 AM - 3 PM, no holidays/weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients and families across age ranges.
• Implement and monitor plans of care and educate patients and families.
• Document in the medical record and communicate changes to the team.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor new staff and students as needed.
