Job summary

Fort HealthCare in Fort Atkinson, WI seeks an RN Surgical Admissions to join our Perioperative Services Team. The role coordinates pre-operative care for patients across age groups, conducting pre-surgery interviews, preparing patients, and ensuring charts are ready for admission.

Responsibilities include coordinating care with the healthcare team, documenting findings, and arranging translations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2-4 years perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license to practice in Wisconsin; BLS Certification.
• Proficient in Surginet computer system.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-operative care and scheduling including labs and tests.
• Conduct pre-surgery interviews with patient/guardian and provide education.
• Coordinate overall pre-procedural care and ensure chart documentation.
• Arrange translation for non-English speaking patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to collect required documentation before admission.
