Mercy Health – Youngstown is seeking a Surgical Services Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient care through the nursing process, including data collection, assessment, planning, and patient education. This full-time position covers Day/Afternoon shifts and values 1+ years of experience, with new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license
• 2 years of Critical Care experience preferred
• CNOR/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred by hire
• OR internship completion preferred

Responsabilités

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care
• Administer medications safely per State practice and policies
• Serve as the point of contact for patient care coordination across departments
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement to ensure patient safety
• Delegate tasks according to laws and staff competency
• Manage nursing care within the OR and coordinate surgical team needs
• Provide preop, intraop, and post-op care and discharge instructions
• Observe surgical procedure and maintain a safe, sterile environment
