Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical/Surgical with a full-time night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am). You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess patients, develop care plans, and deliver safe nursing care while supporting the mission of Mercy Health.

The role requires a current RN license, BLS, and at least one year of RN experience with a focus on acute care; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact state.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred on hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care).
• RN-BC (preferred) Nursing Certification in Medical-Surgical (preferred).
• ACLS Certification acceptable in lieu of BLS (preferred).
• One year RN experience required; will consider new grads.
• Six months RN experience in an acute care setting (preferred).
• BSN preferred.

• Assess patient needs and develop/maintain nursing care plans.
• Administer medications safely per policy and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and care coordination.
• Provide patient and family teaching and support, ensuring safety and high-quality care.
