Job summary

Qualifications

• AA or surgical tech program, or equivalent experience.
• Maintain current license or certification.
• Extensive OR experience as CST or RN across multiple service lines.
• Experience with physician procedure cards; OR billing, card maintenance, scheduling, or auditing.
• Knowledge of OR equipment, instruments, positioning devices, medications, and supplies.
• ERP for OR procedure card systems (EPIC OpTime or Cerner preferred).
• Current BLS for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Oversees procedure card management to enhance patient safety, clinician satisfaction, and perioperative efficiency while reducing waste, errors, and uncredentialed usage through standardization.
• Analyzes incomplete data to clearly define issues and integrate diverse perspectives; prioritizes structured solutions and allocates resources.
• Crafts targeted communication strategies for stakeholders to ensure accountability and feedback.
• Oversees daily updates to ensure accurate card content and coordinates timely updates with quality assurance tools and ServiceNow.
• Monitors data with Tableau and Epic OpTime to benchmark performance and enhance patient safety; collaborates with OR staff and surgeons.
