Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (Procedural – Pain Management) to develop individualized perioperative plans, protect patients during procedures, and monitor recovery after anesthesia. The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced surgical setting.

The RN will perform duties from preoperative planning to postoperative care, ensuring compliance with safety standards and advocating for patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of Pre/Post, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• Successful completion of BLS or BCLS within 90 days of employment and ACLS certification within 90 days, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care by implementing safety measures and ensuring patient protection.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia, including moderate sedation and monitored anesthesia care.
• Provide nursing care and monitoring per policy, document care accurately and timely.
• Communicate patient status to care team and provide hand-off reports.
• Scrub during operative procedures, prepare sterile supplies, and maintain aseptic technique.
