Job summary

Peterson Health in Kerrville, Texas, is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to work in the Main Operating Room. The role requires call coverage and involves coordinating perioperative care to protect patients from injury and infection.

The ideal applicant is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds a Texas RN license, and has BLS, with ACLS planned within 90 days of hire. A CNOR is preferred. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is desired.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Basic computer keyboard skills.
• Texas RN license with valid BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire; CNOR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as patient advocate during the perioperative period and coordinate the patient’s care.
• Protect patients from injury, wrong-site surgery, infection and retained instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgeon and OR team; document care provided, including interventions and supplies.
