Job summary

University of California - Irvine Health is seeking an Operating Room Nurse to design, coordinate, and deliver patient care for operative procedures. The role may require scrubbing or circulating in various surgeries and acting as a patient care coordinator as requested.

Candidates must be able to float to all UCI Health locations. Applicants should have a BSN, RN license, BLS certification, and at least six months of perioperative acute-care experience.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• RN license required
• Basic Life Support certification required
• Ability to float to all UCI Health locations
• Six months of acute-care perioperative nursing experience
• Ability to work variable shifts (days/nights/weekends/holidays)
• Ability to scrub and circulate in most surgical specialties
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, instrumentation, equipment, infection control

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and deliver patient care for operative procedures
• May act as scrub or circulating nurse
• Function as a patient care Coordinator as requested
• Float between UCI Health locations as needed
