Job summary

Singing River Health System Gulfport is seeking a Materials Coordinator to manage OR materials, oversee supplies, and support the medical staff. This role emphasizes cost control and cross‑functional collaboration within the operating room environment.

The coordinator will interact with surgeons, nurses, and other professionals, ensuring accurate inventory, compliance with standards, and timely availability of critical equipment.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years perioperative experience required.
• Experience with McKesson MIS and EPIC Resource Maps within an OR environment preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred; BCLS certification within 90 days; de-escalation training by orientation end.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material management for the Operating Room.
• Oversee all supplies and equipment within the service.
• Serve as a resource for medical staff, nursing staff, patients' families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Assume other duties and special projects as assigned; maintain costs within budgeted parameters.
