Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a per diem Equipment Technician to support perioperative services. You will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure equipment is available, set up rooms, and assist with patient positioning in the OR.

The role requires 1–2 years in equipment maintenance, English literacy, and basic computer skills; shifts are on-site at 1153 Centre Street with a minimum four-hour shift, four+ times a month.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in equipment maintenance or related field.
• Able to read, understand, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with surgical team to ensure equipment is available/ready for procedures.
• Develops and maintains an inventory of equipment with par levels and locations.
• Checks OR schedule to ensure availability of equipment and coordinates with Managers.
• Sets up rooms with necessary equipment the day before surgery.
• Assists with patient positioning and room turnover as needed.
• Maintains logs for broken equipment and coordinates repairs.
