Job summary

Norwalk Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Educator to advance clinical staff education and program development in a dynamic surgical environment. The role emphasizes education of staff and patients, leadership in nursing education, and collaboration with management to ensure cost-effective, high-quality care.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's level degree, RN with BLS and CNOR credentials, and APRN consideration; 0–6 months experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• Master's level nursing degree required.
• RN with BLS and CNOR credentials preferred.
• APRNs with CNOR eligibility within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educational Programming: assess staff educational needs and develop training; provide 2 CEU programs per year.
• Clinical Education: design and teach unit-based programs; coordinate learning experiences with staff.
• Coaches: provide resources and mentor staff; promote standards and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Leadership: model professional behavior; lead continuous improvement and staff development; support patient care.
