Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare is seeking a Perioperative Clinical Educator to lead educational programs for perioperative staff. The RN Educator will plan, assess, and evaluate competency development while aligning with regulatory standards and improving safety and service quality.

The role requires CNOR within 12 months of hire, a BSN, and California RN licensure. Prior perioperative nursing and educator experience are preferred; bilingual Spanish skills and EMR familiarity are advantageous.

Qualifications

• CNOR required to be completed within 12 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience in Perioperative Services and minimum one (1) year educator experience in an acute care setting, preferred.
• Current California Nursing license. Certification in Staff Development preferred.
• Experience with implementation of an EMR preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish).
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement perioperative education programs for clinical and ancillary staff.
• Assess, develop, and evaluate staff competencies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards and improve quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Foster collaborative relationships within the Perioperative Services departments.
