GHR Healthcare is partnering with a leading academic health system in South Jersey to hire a Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator. This role supports two ambulatory surgery centers, owning perioperative education across multiple departments.

You will lead Periop 101, assess education needs, and build education programs while collaborating with nursing leadership and clinical teams in a growing surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license.
• BSN is required; MSN highly preferred and may be pursued within 2 years.
• 3–5+ years of OR nursing experience.
• Strong orthopedic perioperative experience.
• At least 1 year of nursing education experience.
• Must have completed Periop 101 and have teaching/coordinating experience.
• Experience developing or expanding a Periop 101 curriculum/program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and teach Periop 101 to perioperative staff.
• Assess educational and competency needs across perioperative services.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs.
• Serve as a clinical resource for perioperative staff.
• Support onboarding, continuing education, competencies, and professional development.

We're partnering with a leading academic health system in South Jersey seeking a Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator to support two hospital-operated ambulatory surgery centers. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of perioperative education across multiple surgical departments while helping establish and grow an education program at a newer surgical facility.

What We’re Looking For

• Active New Jersey RN license
• BSN required
• MSN highly preferred; candidates without an MSN must be willing to obtain it within 2 years
• 3-5+ years of OR nursing experience
• Strong orthopedic perioperative experience
• At least 1 year of nursing education experience
• Must have completed Periop 101 AND have experience teaching/coordinating the program
• Experience helping develop, launch, or expand a Periop 101 curriculum/program strongly preferred
• Organized, proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable independently driving education initiatives
