Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Perioperative area (RMC). This per diem, part-time role requires a NJ RN license, BLS, and surgical perioperative experience.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care, planning and implementing discharge plans, and collaborating with the health care team. Candidates should be prepared to obtain TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, NRP/PALS as required by unit, with orientation supported by the hospital.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or nursing program graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Surgical experience in circulating and scrub roles required.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Must obtain TNCC within 1 year of hire and 8 hours trauma CNE if applicable.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or obtain by end of orientation with 8 hours of stroke CNE.
• ACLS within 6 months if applicable.
• NRP or PALS as required by unit.
• ENPC acceptable in lieu of PALs for certain ED/trauma roles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care through nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Ensure patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Provide pain management and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Participate in performance improvement and Joint Commission readiness.
