TAG MedStaffing is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for an outpatient surgical setting in Essex County, NJ. The role leads nursing teams, coordinates perioperative care, and ensures high standards of patient safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has OR experience, prior charge nurse responsibilities, and strong clinical and organizational skills to manage fast-paced workflows in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time, in-office position with a competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 2+ years OR nursing experience; prior Charge Nurse/leadership.
• Ambulatory surgery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing workflows and coordinate patient care.
• Provide nursing leadership and guidance to staff.
• Deliver direct perioperative nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical audits.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communication among teams.
