Job summary

TAG MedStaffing is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for an Essex County, NJ client. The role provides perioperative nursing care, assists surgical teams, and ensures patient safety throughout the surgical process in an outpatient setting.

Requires 2+ years OR nursing experience, active NJ RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Work is in-office with occasional weekends, primarily full-time in Essex County.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2+ years OR nursing experience, outpatient/ambulatory settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, sterile technique and OR safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and operating room teams during procedures.
• Perform preoperative patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Monitor patient conditions throughout procedures and respond to changes.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Support quality and patient safety initiatives in perioperative care.
