Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current NJ RN license; BCLS current.
• AORN certification preferred or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• ACLS/PALS certification within six months of hire.
• Two+ years of charge nurse experience in ambulatory surgery center or OR in acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel.
• Oversees staffing and patient throughput in the OR.
• Ensures adherence to standards of practice and facility policies.
• Maintains inventory for assigned area, including equipment and supplies.
• Assists DON in goals and resource management.
• Fosters teamwork and staff development.
• Participates in Quality Committee and continuous improvement.
