TAG MedStaffing is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) for Essex County, NJ. The role focuses on preoperative assessments, intraoperative support, and post-anesthesia care in an outpatient surgical setting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of perioperative nursing experience, NJ RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS certifications. Responsibilities include patient education, care coordination, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Active RN license in New Jersey is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2+ years nursing experience; perioperative/outpatient surgical nursing preferred.
• Strong perioperative knowledge including patient assessment, IV therapy, and post-anesthesia monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative assessment and patient preparation for surgery.
• Post-anesthesia care and monitoring of recovering patients.
• Administer IVs, medications, and fluids; manage pain and nausea.
• Educate patients and caregivers on surgery, recovery, and discharge.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection prevention protocols.
