Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Perioperative Services Practice Assistant for a 24-hour weekend daytime shift (Saturday and Sunday, 12 hours each). The role supports safe, efficient patient flow through the Peri-Anesthesia Units and coordinates admissions and discharges in a high-demand surgical environment.

You will work under the Senior Operations Manager, liaising with nurses, physicians, and families while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in patient records and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or partial college preferred.
• Customer service and secretarial experience in a hospital setting.
• Bilingual desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and family, collect admission information and identify patients.
• Notify nurses of arrivals and coordinate with pre-op and PACU for admissions.
• Assign patients to beds per plan and update schedules.
• Log patient data in Epic accurately for event times and length of stay.
