Job summary

St. Anthony North Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Support Specialist to assist in the PACU, OR, or GI Lab under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. You will help maintain patient flow, keep environments clean, and support safety and efficiency in perioperative care.

You will work closely with nursing staff, prepare patients for surgery, and help transport them within perioperative areas while ensuring equipment and supplies are properly maintained.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely between departments and after discharge.
• Assists in cleaning, sterilization, setup and maintenance of equipment (e.g., canisters, circuits, suction lines, LMAs, laryngoscope blades).
• Cleans operating room suites or procedure rooms between cases.
• Assists with terminal cleaning of operating room as requested.
• Puts equipment, supplies, and instruments away.
• Prepares room for the next patient.
