Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a PCA II to provide compassionate patient care under RN supervision in Perioperative Services. You will assist in multiple units, manage patient needs, and support the care team to ensure safe, efficient workflows.

Responsibilities include room turnover, sterile technique assistance, patient transport, and pre/post-operative care activities, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school education.
• PCA or EMT certification.
• Knowledge of basic Nursing Procedures.
• Current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to meet personal needs and comfort.
• Assist in room preparation and turnover to maintain patient flow and safety.
• Transport patients, equipment, supplies, specimens, or blood.
• Assist with operative rooms and perioperative care tasks.
• Assist with admission, discharge, nutrition and ambulation as directed.
