Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Perioperative RN to care for patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. You will plan and direct care, and supervise the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires 40 scheduled hours per week with a Monday–Friday 10:30 am–7 pm shift; heart call is required. NLN-accredited nursing program graduate, LA RN license, BLS/ALS, and CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• BLS required or obtained during orientation.
• ALS required within 6 months of hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and therapeutic communication.
• Plan and direct care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures.
• Supervise the surgical team during perioperative care.
