St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Perioperative RN to care for patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. You will plan and direct care, and supervise the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
The role requires 40 scheduled hours per week with a Monday–Friday 10:30 am–7 pm shift; heart call is required. NLN-accredited nursing program graduate, LA RN license, BLS/ALS, and CNOR preferred.

Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. The Perioperative RN is accountable for planning & directing the care of every patient undergoing operative & invasive procedures. The Perioperative RN directs & supervises the surgical team members.
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
