Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Perioperative RN to provide care for patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. The role includes planning, directing, and supervising care, with a 40-hour workweek and a Monday–Friday schedule plus on-call requirements for weekends, nights, and holidays.

Minimum qualifications include NLN-accredited nursing education, LA RN license, and BLS; ALS within 6 months; CNOR preferred. Two years of surgery RN experience is preferred over one year.

Qualifications

• NLN accredited nursing program completion.
• Current LA RN license.
• BLS required or obtained during orientation.
• ALS required within 6 months of hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Surgery RN experience: 1 year minimum; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care via the nursing process and team.
• Perioperative RN plans and directs care for patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures.
• Perioperative RN directs and supervises surgical team members.
