Northwestern Medicine seeks an Anesthesia Technician II to join a fast-paced operating room team. You will provide perioperative technical and clinical support to the anesthesia team for all procedures, ensuring equipment readiness, patient safety, and efficient OR turnover.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of technical healthcare experience.
• Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Display a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members to achieve goals.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull and move at least 35 lbs.
• Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association (required upon hire). NMH offers renewal of BLS certification for employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as a member of the surgical team under supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider.
• Prepare and troubleshoot anesthesia-related equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist with intubation and invasive monitoring as directed by anesthesia staff.
• Support with patient transport, positioning, and monitoring during perioperative care.
• Attend in-services for continuing education and orientation of new staff.
• Contribute to room turnover, inventory control, and adherence to safety standards.
