Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a patient-focused anesthesia support technician to assist with perioperative care and the preparation of anesthesia equipment. You will support anesthesiologists and nursing staff, set up monitoring devices, and help maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One (1) year of related experience in Surgical Services, Operating Room, or PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists and nursing staff with direct patient care tasks, including patient transfers and preparing equipment.
• Set up IV solutions, arterial lines and equipment for anesthesiologists.
• Order daily anesthesia supplies and replace as needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the OR and maintain logs of maintenance and testing.
