Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a registered nurse for a 32-hour perioperative role. You will provide direct and indirect nursing care, coordinate care with physicians, and support families. Qualifications

• Completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing to be eligible for RN licensure.
• Massachusetts nursing license in good standing.
• BLS required; ACLS within one year of hire.
• Ambulatory surgery or OR nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide peri-operative nursing care using the nursing process for patients of all ages.
• Establish a compassionate environment and inform families of progress as needed.
• Assess patient understanding of procedures and provide emotional support.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to policies, procedures and best practice.
