Job summary

Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a non-clinical administrative specialist to support Perioperative Services at the University Hospital. The role handles documentation, charge entry, inventory, and record keeping while coordinating with multiple departments on one or more units.

The position reports to the Perioperative Nurse Manager and contributes to unit operations and quality care. Strong computer skills and communication abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; certification or vocational training may be preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• PC Knowledge and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
• BA in business administration / healthcare leadership preferred.
• Six months experience (600 hours training) in computer-generated materials; six months in office practices; six months in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical administrative support on one or more units.
• Perform fiscal management, inventory/stock control, documentation, charge entry, and record keeping.
• Serve as a liaison with other departments and perform general clerical tasks.
