Touro College of Dental Medicine's Albuquerque clinic is seeking a periodontal faculty member who will provide direct patient care and mentor dental students. The role reports to the Director of Periodontics and collaborates with Clinical Education leadership to maintain high standards of care and education.

Qualified candidates hold a DDS/DMD from a CODA-accredited school, ADA specialty training, and licensure eligibility in New Mexico, with prior teaching experience.

Qualificações

• DDS/DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school or equivalent.
• ADA-accredited specialty training or certification.
• Dental license registration; must be eligible for licensure in New Mexico.
• Experience teaching dental students preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Initiate and guide student doctor/patient interaction
• Perform dental procedures on clinic patients as needed
• Model and advise students on professionalism and patient management techniques
• Assist in solving patient-related problems
• Assist Director of Periodontics in reviewing student performance in pediatric dentistry clinic
• Ensuring accuracy of student clinical notes, approving student procedural codes, and evaluating preparedness, professionalism and promptness
• Monitor for unapproved notes of treatments daily/weekly/monthly
• Report misconduct to the Director of Periodontics
• Maintain calibration per Clinical Education Director and ensure infection control compliance
• Complete reviews of student activity upon request
• Aid supervision of Clinical Formative and Summative Examination Process
• Attend periodic meetings with the Director of Periodontics and Faculty Forum
• Membership on Clinical Committees if appointed
