Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• Proficient with medical terminology preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting or physician’s practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter and transcribe physician orders from records with nursing signature.
• Prepare and compile records in the Perinatal Unit.
• Facilitate communication needs of the department and enter data into EMR.
• Enter information into hospital computer systems accurately.
• Assist nursing staff with restocking patient rooms after transfers or discharges.
