Job summary

Beverly Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a Per Diem Perinatal Surgical Technologist for rotating shifts in the labor and delivery unit. Responsibilities include sterile technique, OR readiness, and assisting the RN in patient care within Maternal Newborn Services.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program with CST certification; CNA or related multi-skilled training is preferred. Per diem schedule and varies by department needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Previous surgery experience preferred.
• CNA preferred or equivalent experience: multi-skilled CNA Training, EKG, Phlebotomy, Simple Respiratory & Rehabilitative functions.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN, performs basic operating room skills.
• Maintains AORN standards of technical and aseptic practices.
• Performs scrub technician duties in an organized, efficient, and professional manner.
• Disassembles delivery table and case cart after use and ensures proper disposal of hazardous waste and sharps.
