Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a per diem Surgical Technologist to join the OR team in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on intra-operative patient care and supporting the surgical team under supervision of the Registered Nurse/Circulating Nurse.

Responsibilities include passing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, assisting with counts, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Per diem status implies variable shifts including nights and weekends.

Competenze

• Graduate of CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification preferred; must obtain certification within one year of hire.
• New graduate ST to one year of experience.

Mansioni

• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon at the sterile field.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and asepsis.
• Assist with instrument counts and turnover goals.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and WHO safety checks.
