Job summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in our Family Maternity Center. The role covers labor, antepartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care with self-scheduling, aligning with our Baby Friendly goals.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality perinatal care. Washington RN licensure and 1 year L&D experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or ADN).
• Licensed RN in Washington state.
• Current BLS certification by date of hire.
• NRP certification within 4 weeks of hire.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience.
• At least 1 year of Postpartum experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and advocate for patients.
• Assess nursing needs of assigned patients.
• Coordinate patient and family education.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with the care team.
• Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Document changes in patient condition promptly.
• Adhere to attendance, punctuality, and reliability guidelines.
• Perform duties in line with organizational policies and values.
