Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join the Family Maternity Center. The role covers labor, antepartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care, with infant care as part of neonatal needs.

This RN role emphasizes keeping patients and neonates together and self-scheduling. Required are WA RN licensure, BLS, NRP within 4 weeks, and at least 1 year in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or ADN) required.
• Licensed RN in the State of Washington.
• Current BLS certification by date of hire.
• NRP certification within 4 weeks of hire.
• 1 year of RN experience; 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience; 1 year of Postpartum experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and acts as patient advocate.
• Assesses nursing needs of assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient and family education.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care with patient/family involvement.
• Collaborates with physician and interdisciplinary team on plan of care.
• Communicates information to supervisor, timely and accurately.
• Documents changes in patient condition to nurse in charge and physician.
• Maintains attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
