Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA, seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery Nurse to join the Family Maternity Center. The role covers direct nursing care, patient advocacy, and education within established policies and guidelines.

Requirements include ADN/BSN options, WA RN license, 1 year L&D experience, BLS, and NRP within 4 weeks of hire. Relocation assistance and shift premiums may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or ADN) required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington.
• Minimum one year of current labor & delivery RN experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
• NRP certification within 4-weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
• Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
• Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
• Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
• Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
• Communicates effectively all relevant information to supervisor in a timely way.
• Communicates and documents changes in patient condition to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
