Job summary

Samaritan Health Services is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, OR. The role supports Labor and Delivery and C-Sections, under RN/Physician supervision, with a focus on instrument handling and OR readiness.

Required is a current Oregon surgical tech certification, HS diploma, and either NBSTSA eligibility or two+ years of related experience. This is a on-site night shift position with tertiary support for the department.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Current Oregon surgical technology certification.
• Option 1: armed forces or US Public Health Service trained technologist.
• 16 hours CE every 2 years in medical-surgical tech.
• Option 2: CAAHEP/ABHES accredited program.
• NBSTSA certification or completion within 12 months.
• Option 3: 2+ years surgery tech experience between 2014-2017 in hospital/ASC/government.
• 16 hours CE every 2 years in relevant medical-surgical practice.
• Experience with computer applications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Labor and Delivery, C-Sections and department clerical needs.
• Work under the direction and supervision of RN or Physician.
• Maintain instrument decontamination, washing, sorting and reassembling.
