Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively.
• Formal technologist school program preferred. If no previous formal training, prerequisite classes are preferred.
• Previous hospital/clinical experience preferred; 6 months experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required; Certified Surgical Technologist is preferred with ongoing education requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Word) for job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supply operating room with instrumentation and equipment needed for surgeries.
• Maintain sterility of the surgical field and anticipate surgeons' needs during procedures.
• Pass instruments in a timely fashion and assist with various intraoperative tasks.
• Care for instrumentation post-procedure and assist with terminal cleaning and room turnover.
• Assist in the delivery room and stock Labor and Delivery areas with proper supplies and equipment.
• Cross-train to Unit Clerk duties and perform clerical support for OB Services.
