Job summary

OptumCare is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team at The Corvallis Clinic. The role focuses on maintaining aseptic technique, assisting surgeons, and supporting anesthesia through procedures.

You will participate in the patient care process from pre-op through post-op under physician supervision. Ideal candidates hold an accredited Surgical Technology credential and BLS, with preferred experience in a Main OR and multispecialty cases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient status during pre-op interview and continuously.
• Maintains sterile field and ensures patient safety during procedures.
• Assists anesthesia staff as needed.
• Communicates patient conditions with surgeons and staff.
• Participates in orientation and training of new employees.
