Job summary

MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, MA is seeking a Nursing Educator to lead and advance nursing education across units and departments. The educator will collaborate with facility leadership to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming for nursing staff and non-nursing personnel as indicated.

The role emphasizes orientation, continuing education, and in-services, with involvement in quality improvement initiatives and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or nursing education or related specialty.
• Current state licenses and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP).
• 2 years of nursing experience in Perinatal Services.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage nursing education programs to support orientation, ongoing competency development, and professional growth of nursing staff in assigned units and clinics.
• Assess, develop, and revise educational programs to ensure compliance with Department of Nursing requirements, regulatory standards, and evidence-based nursing education practices.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nurses, preceptors, and nurse residents to promote clinical excellence and professional development.
• Coordinate and deliver continuing education and specialty training programs, including in-services, job-specific curricula, Grand Rounds, and other learning opportunities.
• Support quality improvement and clinical practice initiatives by assisting with policy development, evaluating educational outcomes, and leading key projects such as Fetal Monitoring, Core Super-user Fairs, and Perinatal Designation/Certification.
• Performs related duties as required
