Job summary

MetroWest Medical Center, Natick, MA, is seeking a Nursing Educator to lead education initiatives across units. The role partners with nursing leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate programs for all levels of nursing staff and other personnel.

You will guide orientation, continuing education, and in-services to foster clinical excellence. The Educator will align with Tenet Education goals, mentor staff and preceptors, and drive competency-based learning across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or nursing education or related specialty.
• Current state licenses and certifications.
• 2 years of nursing experience in behavioral health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver educational programs for assigned units, including orientation, competency training, clinical education, and professional development activities.
• Implement and maintain nursing education programs that meet Tenet standards, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing practice expectations.
• Evaluate, revise, and improve educational content using adult learning principles, current research, and national nursing education standards.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership to nursing staff, preceptors, and nurse residents to support clinical competence and professional growth.
• Coordinate and facilitate continuing education programs such as in-services, Grand Rounds, and competency-based learning initiatives.
• Manage and oversee key clinical education projects and competencies, including CPI Training, Annual Behavioral Health Competency, Restraint Competency, and Constant Observer Competency.
