Job summary

Metrowest Medical Center - Consolidated Hospital, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks a Nursing Educator to develop and lead nursing education programs for multiple units. You’ll collaborate with nursing leadership to implement orientation, competency, and continuing education, aligning with Tenet education goals.

You will coach and mentor nurses, preceptors, and students while ensuring regulatory standards and high-quality patient care through ongoing education and program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, nursing education, or related specialty.
• Current state licenses and certifications (ACLS, PALS and TNCC).

Responsibilities

• Develop and Deliver Nursing Education Programs - Support the educational needs of assigned units/clinics through classroom instruction, clinical experiences, and learning technologies. Implement orientation, competency, and professional development programs for nursing staff.
• Ensure Compliance with Regulatory and Professional Standards - Maintain and revise educational programs to meet Department of Nursing requirements, regulatory standards, and national nursing education best practices.
• Lead Professional Development and Mentorship - Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to nurses, preceptors, nurse residents, students, and colleagues to support professional growth and clinical excellence.
• Coordinate Continuing Education and Specialized Training - Plan, deliver, and evaluate continuing education programs, in-services, specialty curricula, Grand Rounds, and other learning initiatives that enhance staff competency.
• Support Quality Improvement and Clinical Practice Enhancement - Participate in quality improvement activities, assist with clinical policy and procedure development, and oversee key projects such as TNCC, annual competencies, trauma-related education, behavioral competencies, and de-escalation training.
