Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking perinatal float pool RNs to support Hillcrest and Jacobs Medical Center units including LDRP, labor & delivery, and postpartum. Nurses will float based on census, acuity, and staffing, with unit assignments announced prior to each shift.

The role requires CA RN licensure, BLS/CPR, ART within 6 months, NRP certification, and fetal monitoring training. Preference for BSN and bilingual capabilities; experience in academic medical centers is valued.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active California RN license.
• BLS/CPR at hire with commitment to ART within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Float across perinatal units including LDRP, Labor & Delivery, and Postpartum.
• Provide family-centered nursing care and assess patient needs.
• Exercise autonomous nursing judgment per ANA standards.
