Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator in Pathology to manage start-up, recruitment, and regulatory compliance for perinatal studies at the Center for Perinatal Discovery. The role involves coordinating biospecimens, data collection, and collaboration with OBGYN, Neonatology and other departments.

The incumbent will oversee study procedures, ensure adherence to guidelines, and provide direction to faculty, trainees, and staff.

Qualifications

Strong theoretical background in biology, microbiology or related fields with research experience.
Demonstrated experience in clinical research and data collection.
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and use of statistical software.
Excellent written and verbal communication, able to work with diverse teams.
Experience coordinating start-up and recruitment activities.

Responsibilities

Coordinate start-up procedures and recruitment for Perinatal Pathology studies.
Ensure regulatory compliance and submit human subject protocols and safety reports.
Oversee data collection, biospecimen handling, and study logistics.
Provide guidance to staff, trainees, and partners; support grant proposals and manuscripts.
Communicate study information to PI and stakeholders; liaise with departments and regulatory bodies.
