Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse license issued by California.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six months.
• Current advanced NRP certification.
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.
• Two or more years of perinatal nursing experience (L&D, Mother-Baby, or NICU).
• Advanced knowledge of high-risk obstetrical or neonatal critical care.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in acute care settings.
• Strong crisis management and rapid decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence across staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Dynamic staff deployment across 134 beds to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Respond to obstetric/neonatal emergencies and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate patient transfers and bi-campus resource sharing.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize bed use.
• Serve as nursing liaison for on-call physicians.
• Mentor ~80 staff per shift in high-stress environments.
• Monitor safety indicators and drive immediate corrective actions.
