Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator in Pathology to manage start-up procedures, recruitment, screening, enrollment, and maintenance of subjects within the Center for Perinatal Discovery.

You will coordinate studies related to placental function, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with OB/GYN, Neonatology, and other departments. A Bachelor's degree and clinical research experience are required; strong data management and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in clinical research.
• Experience with clinical research protocols, data collection, and study procedures.
• Proficiency with RedCap, Excel, Access and Word for data handling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate start-up procedures for observational clinical studies.
• Lead recruitment, screening, enrollment, and subject maintenance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and write submissions (IRB, amendments, safety reports).
• Provide direction to PIs, trainees, and staff; assist with proposals and reports.
